CHILD ADVOCACY CENTRE
Child Advocacy Centres are a safe and welcoming place for children, youth, and their families who have gone through trauma or abuse. At the centre, kids can talk about what happened in a comfortable space. Professionals like police officers, social workers, health workers, and counsellors all work together at the centre to help children and their caregivers throughout each process. This team approach means families can get the care and support they need all in one place. Child Advocacy Centres help guide families through telling their story, investigations, court, and the healing process, always going at the child’s own pace.
Our Purpose
By supporting children, youth and their non-offending caregivers, we provide them with customized supports that best suit their needs and will allow them to heal at their own pace.
